What to Say

  • In August, Representatives and Senators are in their home districts during Congress recess. We take action now at the district level, so they know that we, the people, demand that they defend science when, in September, they return to Washington to vote on the 2026 budget.

  • The Take Home Message: Stand Up For Science has a plan of action — we just need you to join the ride. Once you’re in, you will become part of a community of extraordinary individuals and groups who learn, share, and build momentum with us. The fight is just getting started… Get in!

The Ask: Get in the driver’s seat! Join hundreds of Stand Up For Science volunteers organizing in their communities. You are a scientist, this is your lane, and we are your people.

  • If you haven’t already, join the Stand Up For Science 31 Days of Action - it’s not too late!

You will receive daily prompts for small actions you can take and sign up for the a big action of the month.

You will join a dedicated and passionate group of people who are in the fight to win it.

And by September, you will be a fully engaged activist speaking truth to power.

    It’s that easy.

If you are ready to jump all the way in, sign up to become a volunteer activist!

  • Time commitment holding you back?

Scientists are busy science-ing, we get it. That ground-breaking, life-saving discovery isn’t going to discover itself. But fighting for science doesn’t have to be a full time job.

Join Stand Up For Science to learn ways to have an impact and influence policy, even if all you have to give are a few minutes each day.

Your life’s work depends on it, literally.
